What communities can use Tavvolo?

Any condo, townhome, or apartment community where multiple owners rent out their units. If your community isn't already in the app, you can request to have it added — we typically add new communities within 24 hours.

Do I need permission from my HOA?

No. Tavvolo is a coordination tool for owners, not a property management system. However, we do integrate community-specific rules (minimum stays, rental caps) to help you stay compliant.

Can guests book with any owner in my community?

Only if they're invited. Guests must be invited by an owner (you or a neighbor) to join your community's network. This keeps the guest pool trusted and high-quality.

How do referrals work?

If you are booked but get an inquiry from a previous guest or friend or family member, you can invite them to Tavvolo and they can search for other available units within the community. When your neighbors do the same, the network of trusted guests grows and you get more bookings through Tavvolo and away from more expensive platforms.

Currently, payments are handled directly between owner and guest (Venmo, Zelle, check, etc.). Tavvolo facilitates the connection and booking, not the financial transaction.

How is this different from a Facebook Group?

Facebook Groups are unstructured. Tavvolo has searchable calendars, owner directories, guest invitation systems, and messaging—all built specifically for rental coordination.

Can I still use Airbnb/VRBO?

Of course! Tavvolo is additive, not exclusive. Owners can use us for their trusted guest network and Airbnb for broader reach. But once your Tavvolo network is established, you may find you don't need the OTAs.

How do I get my community on Tavvolo?

Download the app and check if your community is already listed. If it's not, you can submit a request directly in the app with your community's details and we'll add it quickly.
